World Aids Day: MAC Aids Fund
Today is world aids day and I have found myself compelled to write a blog post in honour of this very, very important 24 hours.
I will keep this brief because I know that HIV/Aids is a very sensitive and controversial topic, even in 2015, but I would like to share some of the knowledge that has helped me understand the virus/disease a little better.

Ass Ass Ass: Social Media Profile vs. The Real You
Good day my loves!
How are we all doing on this crisp, autumns day?
I wanted to touch on the latest beauty trend with you guys... fat transfer. I think it is absolutely ludicrous what lengths people will go to to add a few inches to their hips and butt. And yes, I am opposed to cosmetic surgery. That is not to assert that I explicitly think it is wrong but I would never advocate or encourage it. This is for no other reason than the fact, you can not encourage people to love themselves and change everything they don't love simultaneously. I do not intend to preach or offend anyone with this post, but if you do happen to feel insulted you can stop reading and I'll keep you in my prayers. For everyone else, please continue. Xx

My Skin Journey: Dealing with acne
Hi y'all!
Considering this is my first post in months I wanted to discuss something that I am sure a lot of people can relate to and struggle with, that is, the b*tch they call 'acne'. Suffering from it since I was 17 I have a first hand understanding of how negatively it can effect a person's confidence and self esteem and I just wanted to talk about my skin journey so far and where I am currently. From skin care and medication, to eating habits. If you want the low down please continue reading. Xx

My M.A.C Application Experience
When I decided that I wanted to apply for a job at M.A.C it was a little less than a year ago. At this time I had plenty of retail experience but not much with makeup and I know a year is a long time, but the time was definitely necessary. In the summer of last year I enrolled in an open course at London School of Beauty and Make-up. I also joined an agency working in the temp beauty department for different brands (mainly Chanel) to gain some experience working in a make-up orientated surrounding and that is what filled the time.
In April, I decided that I was ready to start applying for permanent roles and of course, at the top of my list, was M.A.C. I will say now that receiving my position as a make-up artist was an opportunity I was so incredibly lucky to have because I initially applied to be a cashier. I figured with my retail background and the recent experience I acquired in make-up I could successfully get through that application process. But one thing led to another and I was offered the better position of MUA. If you want to know how it happened continue reading. Xx
